Looking unto Jesus to receive from Him the task for each day, along with sufficient grace to accomplish the task. This grace enables us to be patient with His patience, active with His activity, loving with His love; never asking “What am I able to do?” But rather “What is He not able to do?” We can then wait for His strength, which is made perfect in our weakness (II Cor. 12:9)
W.W.J.D. for what would Jesus do, needs two more letters. It should be W.W.J.D.T.M. What would Jesus do… through me? I know without Him I can do nothing. Yet I know He has something for me to do. We are called to be a co-laborers with one another and with Christ. He calls us to get in the yoke of ministry with Him. Why? Because above everything else He longs for us to know the intimacy of working with Him even as He works with in us.
“And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” II Corinthians 12:9
Can We Pray? “Dear Father let me hear today the voice of Jesus calling me to work for Him. Show me the opportunities this day brings me to serve You and bring You glory. Help me to determine Your calling not based upon my adequacy but upon the sufficiency of the Lord Jesus. For I want to know Jesus’ life expressed through my life. In Jesus name. Amen.”
